I don’t like the 'winds of adversity' and I’m assuming you don’t either.
But as this fallen tree at Rocky Mountain National Park can show us, wind actually transforms us. As a matter of fact scientists have learned that trees grown in controlled environments with zero wind stress don’t grow well at all. The winds of adversity you are facing can transform you into an even stronger more beautiful person. You may also find it interesting that scientist have tried to grow trees in 'perfect' indoor conditions where there is no wind and those trees actually suffer and are not strong enough to stand upright. So, it turns out that the comfort I actually seek could be to my detriment, while the winds of adversity I wish would subside might actually be doing something powerfully important in my life. So, the next time you feel like you'd just like to be 'DONE' with the winds of adversity in your life lean in and remember that the wind is there to make you stronger and more beautiful.
