When you know and embrace your design and aspire and prepare for a position that fits that design you’ll rise further faster with less effort. The August 12, 2019 issue of Sports Illustrated showcases the ‘design principle’ perfectly with a two page centerfold pic of Clemson’s up and coming star Quarterback, Trevor Lawrence dropping back into a perfectly formed passing pocket. It shows his offensive lineman and a running back all getting their assignments nailed to give Lawrence time to rocket the ball downfield. It also shows with stunning clarity the ‘design principle’ that when we fill a position that matches our design we win and we help our team win. The key idea here is that we all have easily visible physical attributes that help us figure out positioning on a football field. But what about those things that are not so easy to see like what’s the make-up of our personality or of our workstyle preferences or what sorts of mental activities come easily to us? We really need a way to see inside our souls to figure those things out don’t we? The great news is that because of my experience with powerful tool called ‘Career Direct’ I can peer into your soul and get 3-D clarity about your preferences, your giftedness, your personality and your preferences. I can bring all 4 of those aspects together in a fashion that gives you total clarity and boldness when it comes to finding a position that will fit you perfectly whether it’s a trade, a white collar career, the military or starting your own business. That sort of clarity is priceless because it can save you decades of the ‘career flu’ and help you live on purpose by design. If you’re not totally satisfied with your current work situation or are just starting out we should talk and see if it might make sense to get you clear and bold about your design so you can fearlessly launch into a career or business that fits you like a glove and makes your life hum. This picture was taken in Cheyene, Wyoming in the parking lot behind the Paramount Coffee House where once stood a movie theater. Some artist has a vision to take a very ordinary brick wall and make something remarkable out of it. Seth Godin would say this is ‘remarkable’ in that it is worth remarking about. What is your art? What is your talent? What is you skill or dream, ability or super-power? Are you actively blessing the world with it? I sure hope so. If you’re not then just get on with it! The world is waiting for you to do your ‘thang’. If you hold back then we all will miss the benefits. I’m so glad this artist didn’t hold back. Here’s to you getting out there and doing your art! By the way, if you're sick and tired of NOT doing your 'art' because you are unclear about what that may be then we need to talk. Go here: http://www.CareerFinder.Pro ALL THE BEST, Jeff Fuson p.s. If I can ever serve you in any way just let me know. You can catch up with me at http://www.JeffFuson.com p.p.s. If you happen to know painted that awesome image I’d love to give them credit. Just let me know. Why we hired a pitching coach for our son and why you might wanna get a coach, too. Our youngest son is compassionate, smart, business minded and loves his family and friends. We are blessed by who he is. One of his special talents is as a leftie baseball pitcher. Being a ‘southpaw’ is a God-given advantage and he’s pretty good. With the right coaching and effort he could rise to be really really good. How good only God knows. To help him maximize his God-given talents we’ve added another coach to his ‘mentoring matrix’ and he will have his first pitching lesson with this new coach tonight. And, it won’t be cheap! We are hitting up the ol’ pocket book to help our son develop. And, this is what I know, you probably have done, or will do, the same thing for your children. There’s something about helping them in every way we can isn’t there? As parents, we go to great lengths and spare no expense to get them coaching, lessons and take them to practices and weekend tournaments — you name it and we’re on it, aren’t we? If we have children that are more academically minded we find ways to hone those gifts as well. What I’m saying is that we don’t mind making investments for coaching for our kids do we? Do you feel and act the same way about YOUR OWN skill & talent development? Why or why not? I hope that you see the value in YOUR OWN TALENTS, SKILLS AND POSSIBILITIES. I HOPE YOU’VE NOT GIVEN UP ON YOURSELF! I hope you’re still investing in getting better in the areas where you are talented, gifted and called. I hope you’re working on your craft so that you can bring the very best you have to the world as a great gift to serve others and make the world a better place. No matter what your skill, ability, talent or super-power it can be used to bless others AND benefit yourself and those you care about. If you’re already investing in your own development then keep it up. If you’re not, please let me remind you that YOU ARE WORTH IT! NO MATTER HOW YOUNG OR OLD YOU ARE. NO MATTER HOW WORTHY OR UNWORTHY YOU FEEL. Please don’t let your abilities languish and whither away. I’ve found the maxim, ‘If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it’ to be true. It’s also true that it’s never too late to turn the corner and get back in the game and live the life you were meant to live. I hope you’ve got strategic coaches in all the mission critical areas of your life. I do, and I pay a pretty penny to get the coaching, training and support that I need to take my craft to the next level as a speaker and as a career consultant helping people discover or design work that they love. And some of those things that have meaning to you can be broken into bite sized achievable chunks that you could work on over time. When you break things down into bite sized chunks you can take persistent consistent strides to improve or get stronger or faster or acquire a new skill or master one that is mission critical. Mission focused persistent consistent steps can take you new places sooner than you ever dreamed possible. What is something that you’d like to accomplish that may benefit from taking a step-wise approach? There is power in persistent consistent effort when it comes to skill acquisition like leaning a new language or playing the piano. It works for fitness goals, relationship goals and financial ones as well. Almost anything you truly want to accomplish can be broken into smaller steps and when you consistently persistently take those steps you wind up accomplishing things that once seemed like a pipe dream at best. So what step could you take today to advance toward your dreams? ALL THE BEST! Jeff Fuson Hope this finds you doing GREAT!
Does your work PULL you or REPEL YOU? Steve Jobs said ..."If you are working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you." How motivated are you by the work that you are currently doing? Does it pull you into joy and enthusiasm or does it push you back like rotten stinking garbage? Would you say that you are pulled by a vision to accomplish something great through your work or is it possible that what you are currently doing to earn a living is actually in the way of accomplishing your true mission in life? It’s so sad, yet I see many people missing out on the joy of doing work that truly matters to them and giving up day after day and even month after month doing work that is not meaningful nor rewarding. I’ve even noticed that some friends who make a ton of money are often still not happy with their lifestyle or the difference that they are making. It may be that they aren’t doing work that truly matters to them or that they are not working on things that truly benefit the world in the manner that they’d love to see happen. So, would you say that on most days you are more ‘pulled’ or ‘pushed’ by what you do to earn a living? What if I told you that it is totally possible to earn a great living doing work that totally ‘pulls’ you toward what matters most to you? Well, it is. I’m living proof that it’s possible. One of my great passions in life that totally ‘pulls’ me is helping high caliber people like you with a vision to make the world a better place find or design a career or business that makes their life hum with enthusiasm and joy. I’d be honored to explore the possibilities with you if you’re ready to shift into a career or business that pulls you into excitement, purpose, contribution and a lifestyle that fits you perfectly. Can’t you feel the ‘pull’ that Steve Jobs talked about? Let’s talk soon. ALL THE BEST, Jeff Fuson p.s. Book your call here: https://go.oncehub.com/TalkToJeff Did you ever see the movie, Apollo 13? It chronicles the ill-fated mission that nearly left some of our astronauts stranded in space. The most iconic and famous line of the movie, 'Houston we've got a problem' was actually, 'Uh, Houston, we have had a problem' and was radioed from space to Houston by Astronaut, Jack Swigert according to Wikipedia. This famous line was radioed to Houston as he orbited miles above the earth with a problem that could very well end his and his crew’s life. His statement seems so puny in the face of the enormity of his situation. Yet his admission saved his life and the lives of his crewmen. Admitting we have a problem is the place to begin in solving the problem. Getting over my ego and admitting I need help is making my life so much easier and more fun. Life was meant to be shared with others. In reality there are people all around us who would love to help us if we would just admit we have a problem that they could help us with. I hope you’ll watch the movie Apollo 13 and see if you agree that sometimes admitting we have a problem is the beginning of solving it. Here’s to you thriving in all areas!! ALL THE BEST! Jeff Fuson P.S. I’m having a great time these days helping people solve their career and business challenges when it comes to knowing what career or business fits them best. Check it out here: http://www.CareerFinder.pro Did you ever think about the fact that today is yesterday's 'someday'? You know the day that you said you take the family on that special vacation? Or the day that you'd take action on your credit card debt and get it to zero? Or the day that you said you'd take your daughter to the movies just because she needs your time? Or the day that you promised your spouse that you'd turn off the television or social media and actually look them in the eyes and hear them at the soul level by giving them your undivided attention You know, that 'someday I'll' think you've been promising yourself and your loved ones? Well, it's time to move 'someday' to today. Force the game. Take the leap. Do the thing -- before it's too late. Before the clock runs out on your dream or your life is interrupted by an event that is out of your control. I see it all the time and I bet you have as well. A couple saves and scrimps for 'someday' after they retire and build a cabin that they hope to retire and escape to 'someday' and when that retirement finally gets here they get whammied by a cancer diagnosis and have to sell their dream home before they even get to enjoy it. [ This is a true story! My friend now owns that 'someday I'll' cabin. I'm glad for my friend but oh so sad for that couple that kept on waiting for 'someday I'll'. ] So, what thing have you been shoving out to 'someday' that you'd like to move to today? What simple action could you take today that was on your 'someday' list that would begin to move you into a winning stance when it comes to checking off those bucket list items that you've labeled 'someday'? Check out this short video to see what I'm talking about. ALL THE BEST! Jeff Fuson p.s. So surfing change like a pro is vital to your future and to the futures of those you lead.
It’s been said that chance favors the prepared mind. And, Coach John wooden said, ‘When opportunity shows up it’s too late to get ready.’ And, Robert Kiyosaki, author of ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ writes that when you are properly educated financially that you can make money in any market condition that may arise. Yesterday, my wife, Julie and our two boys were driving through the vast nothingness that is Wyoming on our way from Yellowstone National Park to Denver, Colorado. Out there in that vast expanse there were oil fields with pumps pumping and large tanks strewn here and there adorned by vast fields of white giant wind turbines [ windmills ] And, the most iconic image [ a picture I so wish I had stopped and taken! ] was of a diesel locomotive train hauling nothing but wind turbine blades. That was it, diesel locomotive on one end and then several dozen wind turbine blades strung end to end and then another diesel locomotive at the other end like long slender pearls on a necklace. In addition out on the road with me in Wyoming were lots of RVs, diesel trucks and quite a few Teslas. THOSE ARE ALL ICONS OF CHANGE. Whether we like it or not - or whether we are prepared for it or not — the winds of change are here driving powerful swelling waves to be surfed by those who know how. And, those who are prepared will reap great benefits from the change. Those who are not prepared will be retired to the sidelines of life and become critics of the change who will report often and loudly about how unfair all of this is. So, driving down the highway with my young men I wanted to do all I could to inspire them to prepare to capitalize on all the change that is coming. Here are a few things I shared with them: 1. Change is here and more is coming. Find a way to surf the winds of change. 2. Become life long learners. Always be reading, listening to great minds on podcasts, and tapping into the power of Master Mind Alliances [ like the Rising Leader Alliance which you can tap into here: https://forms.aweber.com/form/77/1603387277.htm ] 3. Prepare now because when your chance comes it’s too late to get ready. You will have missed your golden ticket. 4. If you don’t prepare there are millions of others who are preparing and they will gladly share in the spoils of the great wins coming to those who surf change well. 5. As American citizens you have the right to ‘free enterprise’ — that is, the right to start and build businesses to bring great things to life and make the world better in the process. [ Plus, the U.S. Tax code favors business owners. That’s on purpose so that business owners who have the chutzpah to risk free enterprising will provide jobs for those who do not share that same sort of risk taking ability. You have access to this same ability to find a way to start your own business if it bothers you that there are tax advantages for those who do so. ] 6. I encouraged them to consider apprenticing for a season of their life by going to work for the market leaders in their respective areas of interest and then to let those companies teach them the ropes for 10 to 12 years and then to parlay all that learning into businesses of their own. 7. I encouraged them both to read or re-read Kiyosaki’s classic book, ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’. And, if you were with me in that long ride through the beautiful expanse of nothingness that is Wyoming I would have shared the same ideas with you. Here’s to YOU becoming the person of influence that you dream of becoming. Hope this helps you lead better than ever before! ALL THE BEST, Jeff Fuson P.S.
